For my final summary for this class, I will choose to showcase the assignments I was most proud of this semester. I noticed a common factor among the posts I decided on. Most of them involve my dog, Colton.

The Favorite Daily Creates

One of my first daily creates when I used Word to create graphics and edit photos was to create an honest park sign, and I thought this one spoke the truth. DON’T FUCK WITH BEARS.

I drew this in the back of my planner using the pen and highlighters I had in my pencil case. He turned out well, and I had so much fun drawing him. It had been years since I drew my last Pandacorn.

Fun fact about the photo used for the trading card, Colton had his teeth cleaned and had to be put under anesthesia. While he was recovering in the back, the nurses put this unicorn headband on him and sent the picture to my mother. Colton was thrilled to see the photo later.

I don’t think I need to explain why I love this one. PEACE AND INDEPENDENCE FOR UKRAINE.

The Favorite Assignments

I created a short story based on a random Wikipedia article. It was an article about Don the talking dog, a real-life German dog who could say eight words in German. It was amusing to write something purely fictional and also related to dogs.

A vector illustration of a dachshund astronaut going boldly where no pup has gone before.

I spent four hours and 75 sticky notes creating this three-second stop-motion animation. I gained even more respect for people who work on stop-motion movies. The hardest part was taking each photo, but the result was worth it.

I had never done an audio project before; the third one was my favorite. So I created the ambiance of one of my favorite places: a coffee shop. I had finally gotten the hang of Audacity, and despite this project having the most audio files, it took the least time.

I did a remix on the motivational posters assignment. These turned out better than the original, and I have a hard time choosing my favorite between the sleeping dog and the Danish pig. If this semester taught me anything, it was that Canva is a blessing from the gods!

How do I showcase as many cute pictures of my dog as possible? I make a TikTok of Colton! Specifically of Colton in his natural state: napping. The hardest part was filming Colton while napping since he kept waking up and wondering what I was doing. So in case you were wondering, Colton ALWAYS has perfect naps.

One of the last projects for this class was also one of my favorites. I encompassed everything that makes Colton happy. In case you couldn’t tell, Colton is my whole world. He came into our family when I dealt with severe mental health issues and saved me. When we first met, we were both hot messes. Now, we are just quirky.

Final Reflection

This was one of the most challenging classes I have ever taken, but it was also one of my favorites. I enjoy creating digital content and allowing my creativity to roam free.
