I look at other people’s ideas and lightly “suggest” what they should do?

HELL YEAH

Idea 1

First up, we have Aisling Berrios, who, after stalking her Twitter, I found out is a honors biomedical student. She is smart. Her idea is honestly my favorite (no hard feelings to the rest of the class, lol). What if one of the world’s most evil and hated political figures came back to life in the present day and gained power once again? She theorizes that most people would think that it is a coincidence that they look like the old dictator so that no one would be the wiser (especially in this day and age).

Since the figure would take advantage of social media’s power and reach, I think creating content on different platforms is a good idea. TikToks. Instagram posts. Twitter threads (ensure that the account is for satire and creative purposes only). I would suggest Canva for Instagram posts since they have a whole section dedicated to them. Everything else can combine video, audio, and photo editing. If you really want to have fun, you can have your friends comment on their posts and respond to them as the dictator would.

Idea 2

Cecilia Chianese’s idea is intriguing because my cousin is also a sophomore in the education program at UMW and has just started her first practicum (she’s in a kindergarten class). Her idea is to do a “day in the life” of a teacher to highlight the ups and downs of the profession.

I know many educators do these “day in the life” videos on TikTok, and I think it would be interesting to include the perspectives of practicum students. They could record their day and post it on TikTok under a unique hashtag for this project. She could see also collab with practicum students and the teachers they are shadowing to see if they would like to partake in the “day in the life” challenge.
