This is a little late, but better late than never!

Daily Creates

Through my three daily creations, I told the story of understanding that societal expectations of adulthood are false and accepting that adulthood is whatever you want it to be.

First, we start with the idea that adulthood is full of sacrifices and difficulties. You can’t have multiple victories or positives in a day. Like spinning a wheel, you only get what you land on, and all the others go away until the next time you spin. Expectations are low and depressing.

Next is the realization that the idea of adulthood is BS. You never really grow up. Adulthood is often paired with maturity, but the two do not rely on each other. You can be mature and be in your teens and be an adult and be completely immature. Adulthood is classified by a number, not by behaviors.

Finally, we’ve realized that the concept of adulthood and adulting is different for every person. We now live in a society that no longer groups adults into two groups: functioning and non-functioning. We now live in a society that accepts for it is okay for adults to be barely functioning. There are no societal pressures or expectations on how adults are supposed to behave. It is okay to stay at home. It is okay to go out on the town. It is okay to be struggling. Adults are human.

Radio Shows

I didn’t get the chance to listen to my group’s show College Advice because I had an Astronomy exam that night (curse you, night classes!). However, I was able to tune into the radio shows on Thursday night, Bob Ross Radio Show and Why Do We Love Art. They were fascinating to watch, and everyone did an excellent job!

Assignment Bank Remix

I remixed my Minecraft Cottage that I made back in January. What a significant transformation it was. It makes me wonder just how much Minecraft I have played since then (don’t be judging me). Instead, I transformed my one-room funky cottage on top of a mound into a two-story, multi-room cottage in the middle of the snowy woods.

I then went on to remix my motivational poster from the beginning of February. I ended up making three posters cause I had so much fun with them—an improvement from the sign I made on a meme generator site.

My very snarky, original poster

Looking Ahead: My Final Project

I went with the idea I created a while ago about a young woman who became a vigilante with the powers granted to her by the goddess Hel. So I decided that instead of doing one big project, I would do a few smaller ones. They would utilize graphic design, music, and makeup. A more detailed layout of the projects can be accessed here, and I am excited to start.
