Whoah. What a week. Is it just me, or is everyone else drowning in work?

Daily Creates

For my first Daily Create, I took a free domain picture of a unicorn and put a caption on it. I am pleased and sad to say that this is my most liked Tweet at four likes.

The second Daily Create was to put a pair of sunglasses on a selfie. I don’t know about you, but I think I look pretty cool.

My last Daily Create was to create my trading card. Whenever I have a chance to do something related to my dog, I AM GONNA DO IT. I don’t believe that it is my fault that Colton is so FREAKING CUTE!

Audio Bank Assignments

In my first rodeo with sound editing, I told a story about Vikings going into battle. At a minute and twenty seconds, this took me over three hours from start to finish. It was worth it, though; I think I made my Viking ancestors proud.

My next journey took me to my darker side. Yup, I got a thing for darker things. In the words of Wednesday Addams, “Be afraid. Be very afraid”. I created a horror story about a man running away from a monster in the woods. Warning: listen to this with headphones.

Who doesn’t love spending time in a coffee shop? Sadly, the pandemic has made that nearly impossible. Even when we can spend some time at the cafe, the atmosphere is no longer the same. So, I recreated the auditory experience of a coffee shop visit. Fun fact: I created this while drinking coffee.

DS106 Radio Bumper

For my final assignment using Audacity this week, I came up with my take on a radio bumper for the DS106 radio channel. I went for a Lofi, chill vibe for the music and came up with an essential slogan for the channel.

Reflections

I tuned into the DS106 radio show on Wednesday night and listened to a fascinating discussion on the various adaptations of The Birds. I wasn’t even aware that there were so many adaptations. I didn’t even know it was initially a story written by a female author. Instead, you learn something new every day.

Radio Show Ideas

I came up with three ideas for the upcoming radio show project. First, let me know if you are interested in working together!
